Embarking on an overland venture requires specialty parts and equipment in order to safely travel to far out places. When customizing your off-road build, considering where to store your vital gear becomes paramount. This is where a roof rack comes into play. Overland trips need a wide range of essential equipment, a lot of which are heavy and/or take up valuable space. Such gear can take the form of tents, jacks, recovery boards, air compressors, shovels, coolers, water tanks, fuel tanks, camping chairs, fire extinguishers, blankets, food, storage boxes, and so much more. Not to mention, your bikes, kayaks, and other overland toys that make your adventure complete. All of this gear and equipment needs a secure spot on your overland rig where space is already limited. By mounting a roof rack to your off-road vehicle, you can greatly enhance your rig’s storage capabilities. However, no ordinary roof rack is up to the task.
For overland adventures, you need a roof rack that is not only versatile when it comes to mounting capabilities, but is also extremely durable. Not all racks on the market fit these criteria. Here at Rago, we designed roof racks that go a step beyond. They not only provide unmatched strength, but they also offer a rigid fitment, low-profile design, lighting options, and versatile mounting capabilities. When venturing on overland treks, you need a roof rack that works for you. With a Rago Fabrication Roof Rack, you can off-road in confidence, prepared for what the next bend in the road has prepared for you.
Our roof rack is designed with two front fairing versions: Solid and Light Pocket. These different variations allow you to choose the rack that more closely aligns with your off-road/overland needs.
Our first roof rack variation features a solid front fairing for an aerodynamic design that minimizes wind noise and resistance. This allows for quieter and fuel-efficient drives on the highway when traveling around town or heading to your off-road destination.
Our second roof rack variation features a light pocket front fairing for enhancing your rig’s off-road lighting capabilities. The mount can run (1) 40-inch radiused/straight LED light bar or up to (10) 3-inch pod lights for different lighting configurations. Whether you enjoy late night excursions or need additional lighting on shaded trails, our Light Pocket Roof Rack provides the lighting capabilities you need to identify off-road hazards.
Rago’s off-road roof racks are designed to provide you with the ultimate transport capabilities for your overland build. Check out what specifically makes our racks overland and off-road capable.
Our overland racks are crafted from aluminum for a durable design that won’t add any unnecessary weight to your rig's roof. They feature double walled sides for superior strength. All of our racks are finished in a resilient satin black powder coat with hammer black accents.
Our roof racks feature between 6-10 aluminum crossmembers, depending on your vehicle’s make & model, for securing a wide range of overland supplies, recovery gear, and adventure equipment. Each rack is designed to withstand the added weight from roof top tents, bike racks, cargo boxes, and so much more. With our roof racks, you can optimize your off-road vehicle’s storage space.
Each Rago Roof Rack mounts to multiple roof install points for the ultimate stability. You can venture on rough terrain without having to worry about the rack rattling or shifting.
Both of our roof racks provide a trim fitment that complements your vehicle’s OEM styling when not in use. The low-profile design also helps minimize wind noise and resistance. Our racks only add an additional 3/16” to the total vehicle height from the highest OEM antenna point for the 4th Gen Tacoma, 3rd Gen Tacoma, 5th Gen 4Runner, and 2024 Land Cruiser. The Rivian R1T Roof Racks only add an additional 1/4” to the truck’s total height from the highest OEM antenna point. Instead of mounting a bulky rack to your roof, Rago’s Roof Racks offer a sleek design that enhances your overland build’s exterior.
Our roof racks are designed to maintain all of your vehicle's OEM capabilities. They will not interfere with your vehicle's factory antenna/satellite receptions, and they retain access to your rig’s OEM sunroof. Even our Rivian Roof Racks are compatible with the factory glass roof.
Rago’s Light Pocket Roof Rack allows you to supplement your lighting when on the trail with a 40” LED light bar or up to ten 3” pod lights. We also offer a Round Light Mount that is designed for six 6” RIGID Industries 360 or Adapt-XP Round Lights. The mount is compatible with both our Solid and Light Pocket Front Fairing Racks, so you can illuminate the path ahead with both variations.
Rago offers optional Decking Panels for all of our roof racks. The panels provide a flat mounting surface, L-Track tie-down rings, and a molle design to boost your rack's mounting capabilities. The decking panels are sold in pairs, so you can configure your roof rack to perfectly align with your transport needs. Fully outfit your rack with the panels to create a functional deck for setting-up chairs and coolers for the ultimate lounging spot after a long-day of off-road travel.
Rago makes Standard and Light Pocket Roof Racks for the following vehicles:
